Accessibility Statement

TalentRayz is committed to making this platform usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, or keyboard-only navigation. This statement describes the current state of that work honestly — what has been verified, and what has not.

Conformance status

What has been done

• An automated axe-core scan (WCAG 2.0/2.1 A + AA rule set) was run against all 118 pages of the application, authenticated per role against live data. 117 of 118 pages pass cleanly; the one exception has violations entirely inside a third-party PDF template editor's own vendor markup, not this application's code.
• A manual keyboard-navigation pass covered login, signup, password reset, invite acceptance, the main dashboard, and every shared interactive component (dropdowns, comboboxes, modals). Real bugs found in that pass have been fixed: password show/hide buttons that were unreachable by keyboard now work and show a visible focus ring; a header logo link and a drag-to-reorder handle that suppressed their focus outline without any replacement now show one.
• Custom dropdown and autocomplete components (used for language pickers and searchable selects throughout the app) now expose proper combobox/listbox ARIA roles, states, and the currently-highlighted option, and support Escape to close and Arrow keys to navigate — not just mouse clicks.
• Every dialog in the app shares one Modal component with a verified focus trap: Tab and Shift+Tab cycle within the open dialog, Escape closes it, and focus returns to whatever triggered it on close.
• A prior pass fixed systemic color-contrast failures (an avatar initials palette, badge color pairs, and duplicate copies of the same bug) across roughly 90 files.
• A high-contrast display mode is available from the accessibility panel (the icon in the top bar) for users who need stronger color separation.
• Text size can be scaled up from the same accessibility panel, independent of browser zoom.
• A "Skip to main content" link is the first focusable element on every page, letting keyboard users bypass repeated navigation.

Known gaps

• Testing with an actual screen reader (NVDA, VoiceOver, JAWS) has not been performed. A static audit of ARIA roles, states, landmark structure, and semantic markup was done in its place, which catches many of the same issues but is not a substitute for testing with real assistive technology and real users.
• The certificate template designer (/certificates/templates/[id]) embeds a third-party PDF editor library whose internal markup has accessibility issues we cannot patch without forking that library.
• Drag-and-drop reordering (course modules, form fields) has a visible, keyboard-focusable handle, but a full keyboard-only alternative to the drag gesture itself (e.g. dedicated move-up/move-down controls) has not been built everywhere it's used.

Technical specifications

Accessibility of this platform relies on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WAI-ARIA. It is designed to work with recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, and with recent screen reader / browser combinations, though the latter has not been formally verified as noted above.
